A children’s book? Why would you do that?

Everybody who’s been to the WGT will know that “people watching” is a part of the experience. It doesn’t matter if you are into dressing up yourself, witnessing the variety of this scene is just fun. This gothic scene is so very colourful.

And if you look closer you will notice not only the variety of fashion styles but also of gender, colour, heritage and orientation and love. All designs of life co-exist peacefully next to each other united by a common sense of being different.

Let’s be honest here. Sub cultures, like they have been plenty in the 80s and 90s, are on the decline and the existing scenes get older. New blood is rare.

It gets harder and harder just to explain being different to children. Almost the entire entertainment palette for children is strongly separated into stereotypes. Pirates and dinosaurs on one and mermaids and unicorns on the other side. Being different is not an option.

Wir Kellerkinder want to be an alternative and put a spotlight on this scene that gets smaller and smaller.
